Hand Stretchwrap

Pallet stretchwrap is an industrial-grade clingfilm designed for securing goods to pallets and, if properly applied, it also protects against dust, dirt and moisture. Stretch wrap is available in various thicknesses: as a general rule, heavy goods and unstable loads require thicker films. However, it's easy to waste money by buying a film that's too thick - important if you're wrapping lots of pallets! Click here for guidelines on film thickness; send us an email or call 01691 671496 if you need further advice.

Black stretchwrap provides a high degree of opacity, reducing pilferage and offering additional security for confidential palletised loads.

Coloured pallet wrap provides a quick means of differentiating or segregating finished pallets. We stock blue- and red-tinted hand stretchwrap.

Hand stretchwrap is supplied on cardboard cores with two options: standard (flush) or extended. As its name suggests, an extended core projects beyond the film enabling the user to get a good grip on each end of the roll. A standard core finishes flush with the edges of the plastic; most users apply this film with a tailor-made applicator to obtain optimum stretch while avoiding 'finger burn'. To finish off, a film cutter with enclosed blade cuts the wrap safely and neatly.

As an alternative to standard film, pre-stretched high-performance film reduces the amount of plastic used by up to 60% and can deliver significant savings on the cost to wrap each pallet Ideal for goods without sharp edges, this film is pre-stretched during manufacture and does not need to be pulled hard during application; it simply 'self-tightens' onto the pallet.

All our stretch films are top-quality, made from virgin resin and 100% recyclable (LLDPE).

Machine Stretchwrap

[caption id="attachment_283" align="alignleft" width="150"]Machine Stretchwrap From £25.15 per roll[/caption]

Machine-applied stretchfilm follows the same principle as hand wrap: for heavy goods or unstable loads, choose a thicker film. You also need to pick the right film for your pallet wrapper: if you have a power pre-stretch unit on the film carriage, select one of our 'PPS' films, otherwise 'STD' grade will suffice.

As with hand stretchwrap, a pre-stretched machine film can dramatically reduce costs. You will use far less film to wrap each pallet, not only saving money but also improving your environmental credentials. If you'd like to discover whether a pre-stretched film would work for you, call 01691 671496 or send us an email to request a wrapping trial.

Strapping

[caption id="attachment_207" align="alignleft" width="150"]Strapping From £16.10 per roll[/caption]

Ideal for securing heavy or irregularly-shaped items to pallets, strapping - also known as banding - can replace (or reduce the requirement for) pallet wrap.

Polypropylene strapping is our best-seller, with the black (190kg breaking strain) covering most everyday applications. If you have particularly heavy load, choose yellow (300kg b/s). You'll also need seals to secure the band and tensioning/sealing tools.

Corded polyester strapping is becoming increasingly popular: it's very strong (390kg b/s) and is kinder on the hands! Pull tight with a tensioner (or by hand) and secure with galvanised steel buckles. Click here for our 'how to use' guide.

Top Sheets

[caption id="attachment_282" align="alignleft" width="150"]Top Sheet From £36.00 per roll (300)[/caption]

Top sheets are a cost-effective way to help deter casual pilfering and keep out dust and moisture, ensuring that palletised goods remain in pristine condition during storage and transit.

Available in clear or black polythene, they are supplied centre-folded and perforated to tear on a roll. Simply drape over the top of the goods and secure with stretch film as you wrap the pallet: takes seconds, and costs pennies!

Edge Protectors

[caption id="attachment_281" align="alignleft" width="150"]Solid Board Edge Protector £12.50 per pack (50)[/caption]

Tightly stretched pallet film can crush boxed goods, especially when wrapping by machine: not only does it look bad, it can also compromise pallet stability.

Solid board edge protectors - also known as corner posts - provide the solution. Tape the edge guards in place before starting to wrap the pallet, and let them take the strain!   Reusable and recyclable.

Do Not Stack Cones
